He even found romantic love again, and dedicated himself with the strong passion that he was known for. Jesse’s other unique identifiers included collecting things “he might use someday”, rarely being seen without a tattered hat on, seeking new ways to antagonize OSHA, and an endless library of hilarious voice impersonations. He gained employment, loved being an uncle, outdoor sports and recreation. Jesse worked hard–and fought harder–to overcome his inner demons, in order to reunite with his children. Many would comment on how hard of a laborer Jesse was, so blessed to work construction with his father and brother, his specialty quickly became concrete work.Īs time passed, Jesse’s mental health began to decline, so in addition to treatment, he sought relief by self medicating, which led toĪfter separating from his wife, Jesse endeavored to turn his life around and once again become the father his kids deserved, by temporarily moving to Utah to be with family.
His family was his whole world, and he loved being a father. Soon after high school, they were married and created two beautiful children, Jesse Jr. It was there that he met and serenaded his first love, Danielle Sykes. Even more jaw dropping was when he would take the stage at the annual “Pops Concerts”, to sing with his award winning choir and perform choreographed dances. In school, never one to accept being told, “you can’t do it”, Jesse turned heads by being an exceptional athlete in baseball, basketball, and track. He was quick to make friends wherever he went, and although his physical struggles from birth were challenging, Jesse never let that keep him from his goals.
Jesse entered this world just as he left it, early and fighting for his life.īorn in Branson, Missouri and raised just south in Forsyth, he loved growing up with his many brothers and sisters in the Ozarks, his small stature being overshadowed by his giant personality.
